Our award winning corporate finance team have extended their expertise and have now completed work on a major acquisition for a Surrey-based group.

ERA Technology Ltd, part of the Edif Group, has acquired London Power Associates Ltd, a market leading provider of power systems engineering services.

We have assisted the client with the due diligence on the deal.

Ben Williamson, our associate director, said:

“We’re delighted to have provided due diligence support on yet another acquisition for edif Group, demonstrating our expertise in this specialist service line. We look forward to watching these two businesses grow in partnership together.”

LPA is a leading engineering consultancy specialising in power systems and renewable energy. The company’s engineers have experience of projects in many countries and industry sectors. LPA provides a high quality, independent and confidential 'one-stop' facility covering low to extra high voltage power systems to the following major sectors:
• Electricity Networks
• Railways
• Renewable Energy
• Generating Plant
• Oil and Gas
• Data centres

Based in Staines and Manchester, the business employs over 30 people with specialist engineering skills supplemented by trusted associates. LPA also performs significant levels of work overseas, in particular the Middle East and Africa. They apply their global experience to deliver the most appropriate solutions to a power system to meet their client's objectives.

The LPA management team of AmarjitJhutty and Johan Stalmans will remain with the business and lead the ongoing development and growth of the company as part of Edif Group’s growing engineering consultancy division.

The benefits of the acquisition are many, but significantly the employees of LPA will gain enhanced development and career opportunities and the combined business can now offer to the industry all aspects of Power Engineering consultancy across multiple sectors and on an international scale.

LPA Management comment:
“The combined resources of ERA and LPA will enable the provision of an even greater breadth and depth of high quality service to our clients. The collective financial strength of the group will also enable us to undertake bigger projects providing more benefit to our existing and future clients”.

Edif ERA Technology management comment:
“We are extremely excited to be welcoming LPA into the Edif Group family. LPA is both a company and a group of people that we have admired for some time and we are delighted they have chosen to join us. LPA’s core services complement ERA’s existing services; power systems, electro-magnetic compatibility (EMC) and earthing capabilities very well and will increase our geographic spread both in the UK and overseas”.
