Experts from different sectors in and around York took part in the Shadow MPC.
The MPC is a partnership between Clive Owen LLP and The York Press, which considers the region’s economy and invites business figures to argue their case for a shift, or hold, in the rate.
The members voted as a majority for a ‘pause’ in interest rates, in order to try and steady the economy.
Partner Phillipa Symington discussed the decisions, saying, “The latest trends appear to be in changing stock levels. Businesses are starting to rationalise and streamline their stock levels and product offerings in order to cut costs”
