We have noted on certain occasions HMRC have not replied to our correspondence, instead replying to the taxpayer as if they had written the letter, we have sent HMRC!
This is a very bizarre way to deal with agents, who provide a valuable service to their clients and certainly one that HMRC could not cope without!
For the past ten years or so, HMRC have not sent us copies of PAYE coding notices, copies of tax demands etc but do still send us HMRC self assessment statements, where requested to come to us.
If you do receive any correspondence from HMRC (remember to also check if you receive this electronically) please can you ensure that you forward a copy of any correspondence, PAYE coding notices, tax demands etc to us, to verify.
