Career history

Having completed my degree in Accounting and Finance at Swansea University I started off my professional career at BDO where I successfully qualified and gained valuable experience in corporate audit. After this, I  moved on to work for Crowe as audit manager, and finally joined Clive Owen LLP in 2021, where I have progressed from a senior audit manager to Director in 2023.

I’ve spent the majority of my career working with owner managed businesses and corporate entities across a diverse range of sectors, specialising in international group set ups. I pride myself on getting to know my clients on a personal level to ensure that they receive a high quality, efficient service whilst acting as sounding board for any issues they may be facing.

Career Highlights

In 2021, I decided to make the exciting move to the North of England and joined Clive Owen LLP as a senior audit manager. Having previously worked for larger national firms in the Midlands, the chance to focus on working more closely with individual clients and teams was very appealing to me.

Did you always want to be an accountant? 

Having pursued an early career as a professional golfer the lure and excitement of working with numbers and data was too much to ignore leading to Accountancy as a natural career path. I am happy that I decided to follow this route, as it has enabled me to work with some fantastic local clients and expand my network.

Hobbies and interests

I enjoy playing golf, and have previously competed at a high level. I spend as much of my free time as I can hiking and exploring the countryside, even enjoying the occasional wild swim.
